About IKK Podcast
A fusion of the Hiligaynon words istorya (story) and kuris-kuris (scribbles or nonsense talk), Istorya Kuris-Kuris is an Ilonggo idiom often used to describe trivial or meaningless conversations. But at IKK Podcast, we reclaim the phrase and turn it into something more purposeful — creating meaningful conversations through an istorya kuris-kuris kind of exchange: honest, casual, relatable, and real.
IKK Podcast is a platform where stories matter. We aim to build an inclusive space for diverse voices, lived experiences, and conversations that inspire connection, understanding, and impact.
Originally launched as PozFeed Podcast in 2021 during the height of the pandemic, the show was created by Ilonggo advocates Ryel Hagoriles and Vain Pescador. The podcast began with a mission to continue important conversations surrounding HIV and AIDS despite the challenges and isolation brought by lockdowns.
In 2023, the platform evolved into what is now known as IKK Podcast — a broader and more inclusive space that welcomes conversations beyond a single advocacy. As the community grew, so did the team, with Har Abilas and Dr. Lou Noblefranca joining as hosts. Behind the scenes, the production is brought to life by director Wel Lunday and camera operator Gerald Garma.
Through collaborations with brands, organizations, and communities, IKK Podcast continues to expand its reach and create room for stories that educate, empower, and spark meaningful conversations.

More than a tagline, this Hiligaynon phrase translates to “Keep going, friend.” It reflects the heart of IKK Podcast — a reminder to keep moving forward, continue the conversation, and make space for every story that deserves to be heard.
